I have owned this very reliable 1953 Ford pickup for 18 years. It was built in CA in 1996, and I purchased in 1999 with 5221 miles on it. It is a joy to drive. Truck sits on a 1964 Chrysler Imperial chassis and is powered by a 1976 500 C.I. Cadillac V8 with a GM Turbo 400 transmission. Body has been modified to fit chassis. If you look closely at photos you will notice front wheel wells were shifted forward to fit chassis, and truck bed is wider than original. It also has a 1955 grille. This is not a show truck, but a true everyday driver. Paint is OK, but has blemishes and some nicks. Interior is very good condition. Power steering and power drum brakes. Tilt and telescoping steering column. New tires and battery. Front to rear weight ratio is 60/40, which makes for great handling. Minor fixes required if you are a perfectionist: Slight oil leak at crank rear seal, Gas gauge not working due to faulty sending unit in gas tank, Radiator fan has electrical short, and some dash lights are out. I am getting too old to crawl around the truck to fix. Everyone loves this truck wherever I go.
