Vehicle Description
1970 Ford Torino Cobra Sportsroof. The Torino was Motor Trend's Car
Of The Year for 1970 thanks to a total redesign to a more
streamlined body style with a wider and lower stance. This example
was built in February of 1970 and sold new through a Ford Dealer in
Dayton Ohio. It is finished in beautiful Calypso Coral paint
accented by a clean Black Turin Knit vinyl interior.
Out of 230,411 Torinos produced in 1970 only 7,675 were fortunate
enough to be Cobra fastback coupes. Better yet, it is one of only
2,131 graced with the mighty 429CI Cobra Jet V8 rated for 370 HP at
5,400 RPM. Best of all that big block is mated to a responsible for
typographical eFour-Speed Close Ratio manual transmission and Ford
9in Traction-Lok rear with 3.00 gear ratio.
This car is well equipped and features power steering, power brakes
with front disc, Hurst Shifter, bucket seats with center console,
auxiliary oil pressure, temperature and volt gauges, shaker hood,
sport slat rear window cover, Magnum 500 style wheels wrapped in
Good Year Poly Glas tires and a finished trunk with proper mat,
jack and spare.
The cherry on top is we even have the Marti report to document
paint color and drivetrain option. These Torinos are steadily
gaining value so do not miss out on this opportunity to own one
before they hit the six figure mark.
