Original Florida title from 1st & only titled owner from new The
restoration shop that services our collection acquired this car
from a collector who purchased from the original owner, a Florida
State University faculty member who taught English Literature. The
car was parked in the collector's garage unused for over 35 years.
A comprehensive 3 year ground up restoration from a 25K mile rust
free car was just completed January �17. The engine was pulled out
& completely overhauled including the SU carburetors rebuilt by
National Carburetor Company in Jacksonville, FL. Also included in
the refurbishment was a new clutch assy., electric fuel pump,
complete brake system overhaul, alumacoated exhaust system
replacement, radiator service cleaned & pressure tested, a new set
of wide white wall tires, & so much more misc. work was completed.
New base coat-clear coat exterior paint, premium canvas convertible
top & inner liner, complete new interior, wood refinishing, along
with all the chrome on the bumpers, door handles sent out &
refinished by a top notch professional quality chrome re-plating
service company. Overall; it has been nicely refurbished & is now
road & show ready for driver tours & invites to concourse show
