1950 Plymouth Business Coupe | Ardell Brown Classic Cars?www.ardellscars.com/1950-plymouth-business-coupe/
This gorgeous 1950 Plymouth Business Coupe is arrow straight with excellent chrome and brightwork. It is loaded with period accessories, too. This car is mostly original and low mileage, save for the recent respray. It features fender skirts, wheel trim rings, spot lights, sunvisor, bumper guards and dual exhaust tips. The Bedford cloth interior is original. The woodgrain dash and garnish moldings are as nice as can be found. The rear passenger area retains the fiberboard covers where the seat would normally occupy. It is powered by the 217 cu in flathead inline 6 cylinder engine and 3 speed manual transmission. The 1949 and '50 cars appear very similar, but for 1950, Plymouth performed a fairly extensive update on the 1949 car. The '49's very Art Deco multi-slat grille and ribbed front bumper were simplified to a cross-hair style grille and a smoother bumper in 1950. For 1950, the rear fenders on most models were lengthened and restyled from the previous year and the taillamps were updated and revised to incorporate brake lights and directionals (if equipped.) On most models, the 1950's rear window was also larger and curved around a little farther, while windshields and side glass remained unchanged.
