A time capsule of a pickup in a stunning black and red presentation
- that's what you get with this 1988 Chevrolet Silverado. And this
loaded stepside 4x4 deserves the right home because of how
significant it is.
This was the first year for the new style Chevy C/Ks. It's a design
that was so sleek and interesting, that you can still see echoes of
it in the brand new Silverados. Then again, people also will never
believe this truck is nearly thirty years old with the level of
presentation on this survivor. Averaging around 800 miles annually
will keep any vehicle well-preserved, but this at a higher level.
The original metallic black paint still retains its showroom shine,
so it feels like the only time this truck left the garage was to
get washed and waxed. The same level of preservation is seen on all
the details, too. From the pinstriping, to the 4x4 decals, to the
chrome bumpers that line up perfectly with the bright rocker trim -
it's all so fresh that you'll feel like picking it up from us is
like getting it new from the Chevy dealer. In fact, the only pieces
that are not factory (but many dealers would offer) are great
upgrades like the side window visors and the fiberglass tonneau
cover.
Nothing looks better against a black exterior than a red interior.
And just like the outside, this is premium, original, and
preserved. The bucket seats look amazing and are a great feature
not seen on many pickups. A center console provides extra storage
and a set of cup holders - a nice feature that doesn't yet come on
many classics. It's loaded with air conditioning, power windows,
power locks, tilt steering column, cruise control, and the original
AM/FM stereo. So this well-preserved machine is also an
executive-level ride.
Besides the sleek design, what makes the 1988 Silverado so
desirable is the electronically-controlled fuel injection. This
gives the numbers-matching 350 cubic inch V8 under the hood a
powerful advantage. And just like the rest of the truck, the motor
looks fresh from the factory - right down to the correct hoses.
More than just powerful, this was the first year that a 4x4 came
with an independent front suspension. That means you still get the
go-anywhere prowess, but when you're just riding in the city, this
is much more comfortable than other classic 4x4s. Plus, power
steering, power brakes (disc up front), and a 700R4 four-speed
automatic transmission w/overdrive make this a fantastic any time
cruising pickup.
You know how rare it is to find something this sleek and so well
preserved. So if this significant Silverado has appeal to you, it's
time to hurry up before it's gone forever. Call today!!!
