The Ford F-Series was introduced in late 1947 for the 1948 model
year and was the first post-WWII truck design from Ford. The first
generation was produced until 1952 and assembled in sixteen
different Ford factories. Serial numbers indicate the truck model,
engine, year, assembly plant and unit number. The series was known
as the "Ford-Bonus-Built" and the F-1 version featured a 6 1/2
-foot bed length. This beautiful blue/tan leather 1949 F-1 has been
treated to a full frame-off restoration including new electronics,
12-volt upgrade, new fuel system and new brakes. Power flows via
the numbers matching 226cid in-line six rated at 95 hp mated to a
3-speed manual transmission. The rear end has been updated with a
1988 Ford unit. All the panels are original! Settle back in the
leather covered bench seat, check out the simple yet elegant dash
