The Chevrolet Camaro went on sale in September, 1966 for the 1967
model year and was intended to compete with the Ford Mustang.
Chevrolet executives realized that their existing compact sporty
car, the Corvair, was not up to the task, and thus a legend was
born. This beautiful Red/Red machine has a replacement 1972 350cid
V8 power plant mated to the original Saginaw 4-speed manual
transmission. Additional upgrades include a 4-wheel disc brake
conversion, new clutch/pressure plate and hydraulic clutch kit. The
suspension features Ridetech tubular front control arms and 4-link
suspension with coil-over shocks and sway bar. Options include
power steering, power brakes and a tilt steering wheel. The
convertible top was restored in 2010 and includes a new boot cover.
