1956 Chevy Bel Air: The 1956 Bel Air received a face-lift with a more conventional full-width grille, pleasing those customers who didn't favor the Ferrari-inspired '55 front end. Distinctive two-tone bodyside treatments and graceful front and rear wheel openings completed the "speedline" restyling. Single housings incorporated the taillight, stoplight, and backup light, and the left one held the gas filler - an idea popularized on Cadillacs. Among the seven Bel Air models was a new Sport Sedan, a pillarless four-door hardtop that looked handsome with all the windows rolled down and allowed easy entry into the back seat.
This '56 would be best categorized as a very tasteful resto-mod. The previous owner stated with a low-mileage, rust free Bel Air and in 2007 he created a classic to drive, enjoy, and kick-ass at car shows. As you can see from the photos, no expense was spared to achieve the ideal '56 Chevy. The 14 trophies received at local shows prove he wasn't the only one that loved the end result. Features and options include; 350 V8(350hp), Smoothed Firewall, Headers, B-Cool Radiator, Electric Fan, 4 Speed Transmission, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vintage A/C, Custom Two-tone Vinyl Seating, Custom Center Console, AM/FM/CD Stereo, Tilt Steering, Tinted Glass, Sun Pro Tach, 15" Deep Dish Chrome Wheels, and BF Goodrich Silvertown Wide White Walls!
