Vehicle Description
Named for Henry Ford's Dearborn estate, Ford's Premium Fairlane
line, the Crown Victoria, debuted alongside the original
Thunderbird for 1955. These new top line vehicles bolstered Ford to
record its best sales year since 1953. The style and drastic
roofline was an instant hit with crowds of people all over the
United States. The car featured Fords new for 1955, 272 Cubic inch
"Y" Block engine, signature "basket" handle roofline and
well-appointed interiors. Even as production numbers for the Crown
Victoria were relatively high, today, the Crown Victoria remains
highly sought after by collectors and enthusiasts alike.
Just out of a private collection, GR Auto Gallery is pleased to
present this highly original, 1955 Ford Crown Victoria for the
world to consider. The car remains very original with the exception
of a repaint in its original 2 tone Raven Black and Snowshoe White,
over black and white tuck and roll interior. This Crown Vic is
powered by its 272 V8 engine, automatic transmission and rear wheel
driver. Highlights included: Original stainless trim, factory
gauges and radio, wire wheel covers, jack and spare, fender skirts,
bench seat, column shift automatic, original steering wheel and
horn ring. Under the hood remains all original and stock featuring
its oil bath air cleaner, original valve covers, components and
