As a young Art teacher I bought this 1964 Triumph TR4 in the summer of ' 82. It was an 18 year old car then, in very good shape with minor restoration done than by a retired airline mechanic who specialized in restoring TR4's and 4 As. It's been a California car, always garaged, to this day, no rust anywhere; it is a very nice original car and has been really well maintained. During the past 35 years I've driven it a little over 32,000 miles with little more than periodic service. In 2000 (or 8,000 miles ago) the clutch was replaced also with the rear main seal was converted to a modern neoprene seal. The engine was removed during that same time, allowing for all other major parts to be checked and repaired as necessary, like the crankshaft bearings and seals were replaced and all additonal interimaintenence was preformed. Also, new brakes and several other minor repairs were professionally done at the same shop. I'm selling this car because I just don't have time to enjoy it anymore. Thirty five years plus, with this love of my life ... its time now for my wife.
