Vehicle Description
The 1964 Chevrolet Impala has certainly earned it's place as one of
the most iconic of classic American cars. This Sport Coupe has been
nicely outfitted with power disc brakes and power steering; both
aftermarket additions. The factory powertrain was replaced by a 350
cubic inch small block Chevrolet motor and a Turbo-Hydromatic 350
(TH350) transmission. Documentation is included describing the last
10 years of service history including a rebuild service on the
transmission. Engine is reported to have only around 15000 miles
since rebuild. In the front-end steering feel is tight and
responsive. Suspension as a whole is very solid with no creaking
rattling or other noises or sensations which might indicate the
need for replacement. Lots of new parts in the last couple months.
New brake master cylinder with proportioning valve front disc brake
conversion new brake lines new fuel pump and braided line new power
steering pump new starter and more! The paint and bright work show
well as the vehicle was garage kept. It has not been out in the
rain at any point over the last 10 years of ownership. The bodywork
is not perfect however one might consider it "driver quality."
There are several spots where the years are starting to get the
better of this particular paint job with cracking and bubbling in
places (see photos). Chrome is beginning to show signs of age.
Interior is in nice shape overall. Seat upholstery is not stained
cracking or ripped in any places. Aftermarket gauges for oil
pressure coolant temperature battery (not functional at this time)
and RPM have been mounted to the underside of the dash which
illuminate at night. Speedometer odometer horn wipers blinkers and
all exterior and interior lights are operational. Radio is no
longer functioning and is the original AM unit. Visit REV online at
