The Volkswagen Beetle, officially the Volkswagen Type 1, was
designed in the mid 1930's but only produced in significant numbers
after WWII. The original 1100cc air-cooled engine was rated at 25hp
- good for about 62mph on the Autobahn! By 1954, an additional 2mm
was added to the cylinder bore. This combined with a redesign of
the crankshaft and helped the 1200cc mill produce 36 hp. The
instrument panel was revised in 1958 in addition to modifications
of the rear window to rectangular from oval. This 1959 Bug is a
real charmer. The baby Blue/White vinyl combination is a classic.
Everything is just right on the interior from the instrument
cluster to the steering wheel and push-button radio. Crank down the
windows and hit the beach in style! This cool 1959 Beetle is
located at our Milwaukee showroom. You can view this beautiful
