429 CI V8 Police Interceptor Engine paired to 3 speed automatic
transmission. 1 of 564 cars produced between 1967 and 1974.
Believed to be the only one left in existence. Multiple Award
winner. We acquired the Patrol Car from Mr. Miller who was a
20-year Veteran with the Indiana Highway Patrol. Purchased new by
the State of Indiana in 1971 to be issued that year to its
troopers. The car was first assigned 5141 to a Sgt. Claude Trent of
District 41, Connersville Indiana. Mr. Miller had the privilege of
sharing the driving with Sgt. Trent as Rookie Trooper his first day
on the job. After 25,000 miles, the car was re-assigned to a James
White who would later become the Godfather of Trooper Millers first
born child. Later purchased 1972 for $980 by a private individual
from an auction and was in his possession until 1987. In 1987 Mr.
Miller located a 1971 Mercury in hopes to restore one to Highway
Patrol specs and low and behold the car he found was commission
5141. The very car he drove his first day on the job. After an
automobile accident that year Mr. Miller released the car to
Indiana's State Police Museum where the car sat un-restored for
years. Fast forward to 2006 Mr. Miller was given the car back where
over the next year it was restored to its's former glory. Loaded
with all the original equipment, AM Radio, Power Windows, Rear
Window Defogger, Certified 140 speedo. Lots of extras such as Billy
club, blanket, first aid kit, extra door panels, flash light and
camera, road flares, fire extinguisher, spare tire and jack. A
truly rare piece of Law Enforcement History with a great story and
