For Sale: 1969 Mercury Cougar XR7 in Woodbury, New York

Vehicle Description

This is a ZERO rust, original matching numbers, California Car.  EXCELLENT CONDITION, CONVERTIBLE COUGAR XR7 built in Dearborn, with lots of factory extras.  Spent it first 26 years in Northern California, upgraded and since garaged and upgraded living with me in NY for the last 14 years and driven less than 2,000 miles.  The odometer still runs and I believe is correct, at less than 93,000 miles. This car has no rust, no bondo, no rot, no accidents, from what i can tell.

This car is excellent, but not perfect, this is original...minor issues (repairs under $500, see detail below) and hope to find her a good home. As is, where is. Thank you for looking.

See for yourself the price is aggressive to sell, at $24,000, $15K lower than its value, especially when I put in over $20,000 into it.   At this point this is a rare car for someone that wants to DRIVE IT with the top down.  Being an original numbers and no-rot car, can be a show car if you want it.

Flaws are it has a small non spreading crack on the windshield on the passenger side and a patch on the gas tank that holds fine. They are both stable for two years and why bother at this time.  Both can be repaired for under $500. This is not a museum piece yet, its just a great, no rust, original numbers drivers for $24K.  If want this car in a SHOW Cougar there is one on Hemmings for $87,000.  I do not have a Martini report, never bothered.

Payment expected within 1 week of bid.  Please dont waste your time or mine, not negotiating, its priced to sell, because you know, this car in this condition with these extras is $39,000, so at $24,000 cash this is a bargain.  She is located in Syosset, NY 11797

Please ask plenty of questions ONLY if you're serious.  I'm a nice guy, happy to answer any.  thanks  Edward
