Well i've had this VW in my personal collection�since 2011 and its
time to let it go�and pass the torch of ownership
This is a fully documented European delivery type 1 bug, every
piece of paperwork from day one way back in 1959 the day the
original owner put a deposit down on the car up until he sold it in
1999 is included, the documentation and receipts are amazing and
puts everything in perspective with this car. i am currently the
third owner.�
Bought new in Augsburg Germany at Edgar Meyer VW by a Pan-Am pilot,
he took delivery in Europe, used it for vacation with his wife then
shipped it back to the states. the car has 112,000 original miles
on it, at 95,000 back in 1981 a new "Crate" 1500cc engine was
installed,but..the good news is��i have the correct 36hp for this
car and its included with the sale!!. The car comes with a vw roof
rack that was bought in 1961 , and has had a fuel gauge installed
in 1962 the car has receipts to back it all up. The history on this
car as well as the paperwork is unbelievable.�

Now the car....�
It had had one high quality refinish in 2001, exterior only!,
interior paint is original and perfect, dash uncut, original
working Blaupunkt radio , interior redone, orig mohair headliner
and 196 one yr old style�grooved visors, and original and perfect
dash trim, no rust excellent original pan, no patches or repairs,
dealer installed 6 volt heater blower motor to push heat�through
was installed way back when around 1966, all lights work, I
restored and installed a set of vintage 6 volt fog lights, car has
all original sheet metal, and German bumper in rear, front bumper
was replaced in 2001 when last owner had car painted, i asked why
and he said it had a small dent in it, i asked if he still had it
and he told me he tossed it!,,ugh! original spare tire tools, front
and rear aprons, original Continental spare tire, jack and tools,
original trunk cardboard as well...�
I lowered it one click and put on drop spindles, HOWEVER!! the
original spindles go with car, orig wheels and hubcaps, steering
wheel�as well, correct date 36hp included, all books, records,
history and documentation, ive included pics stock and now with
BRM's i just put new tires on the front last week, there
continental smart car front 155"s Yes its a real Nardi wood
steering wheel!
Car drives outstanding, original number matching non syncro split
case trans is excellent, car has matching beam, trans and pan, too
