This truck was built in Kansas City, then lived much of is life in Oklahoma. It is very solid and original.
There is some light corrosion at the base of the rear of each fender. Certainly caused by the drain being plugged. This is very common. In this case, it is minor and could easily be repaired. The drivers side cab corner was repaired at one time. Otherwise, the truck is rust-free.
It is still propelled by the original 216 six cylinder engine and three speed manual transmission. The mileage is only 61,320. It starts and runs well. I have driven it and it performs as you would expect.
This truck has the desirable five window cab. It is also equipped with a heater and the stainless grill. It has bumper guards on the original front bumper.
It has been repainted. I also believe the bed wood was replaced. The interior appears to be original.
This is not a show truck. It is a survivor. It has the potential to be quite nice, but is certainly ready to be driven and displayed as it sits. I found it in a farmers shed, so call it a “barn-find” if you wish.
Life on the plains is typically kind to older vehicles. This truck is a good example of that. I doubt it has seen salt. It has minimal mileage. It hasn’t been beat up. It is solid and original.
