For Sale: 1969 MG Midget in Concord, North Carolina
Stk. 2339 1969 MG Midget
The MG Midget was produced from 1961 through 1979. The first
version, the MKI model, was essentially a re-badged Austin Healey
Sprite. The Midget differed from the Sprite only in its grille
design, badging, color options and chrome trim. They were very
basic sports cars. By the time our third generation1969 MKIII
Midget was produced, upgrades including a larger 1275cc engine with
beefier bottom end, semi-elliptical rear springs, roll-up windows,
and exterior door handles. The classic lines of our restored
roadster are accentuated by an impressive re-spray of British
Racing Green (2004) that is in outstanding condition. Nice chrome
and a set of factory wire wheels provide smart accents. A black
soft-top/window is in good condition. The interior has been
completed re-upholstered in original-style black vinyl and a full
set of working gauges are well positioned in the dash. Safety
features include a collapsible steering column, padded dash and
third windshield wiper. Horsepower is provided by a rebuilt 1275cc
4-cyl OHV engine with dual factory side-draught SU HS-2 carbs. This
'A-Series' engine produces 65bhp and 72lb/ft of torque. It is
backed by a 4-speed manual transmission and stock differential with
3.90:1 gearing. Brakes are 4-wheel manual drum. There are very few
of these MG classics around for the serious MG hobbyist. ALL
VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS".
