Vehicle Description
The Ford Victoria was a full size car that competed directly with
the popular Chevrolet Bel Air. Part of the Fairlane family, the
Victoria offered nicer trim and options that the lower models. Some
of the key features included a range of engines as well as the
unique "Fairlane stripe" on the side that was a piece of solid
stainless steel.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this nice honest Seafoam
Green example for your consideration. This example is in very nice
shape and is said to have spent most of its life in Colorado, free
of corrosion and salt. The current owner says the car was repainted
in its original color around five years ago. The quality of the
paint seems to back up this claim. It looks good and was
professionally done. The brightwork is intact and in good shape and
shows some minor pitting. The interior is in great shape as well.
Brighter, richer green seats are accented by the body color painted
metal trim. The interior is free of any rips or stains and the
speedometer and odometer seem to be working correctly. It is
believed that the odo has rolled over once.
The car runs and drives very well. The current owner has redone the
brakes as well as installed a new wiring harness and new lights.
The engine sounds healthy and the car goes down the road nicely. We
believe the engine is a 292cid V8 and says "Thunderbird Special" on
the headers. A 3 on the tree manual transmission is smooth and
shifts well.
While not a concours car, this is a perfectly nice driver that
would need a tiny bit of work to restore it or use it on a daily
basis.
