Gateway Classic Cars of Fort Lauderdale is pleased to offer this
ultra-rare 1958 Packard Hawk. This is one of only 588 Hawk's
produced in 1958. The Packard hawk shared many components with the
Studebaker Golden Hawk. The two cars did have their differences.
The most obvious of these differences is the front end of the car.
Unlike the Golden Hawk's upright grille resembling that of a
Mercedes, the Packard had a wide opening across the width of the
car. Powering this unique automobile is a 4.7L, 289 cu in V8 with a
McCulloch forcing air into it. This brings power to approximately
275 horsepower and an impressive 333 ft-lbs of torque. This
powerplant is mated to a Borg-Warner Flightomatic 3-speed automatic
transmission. The silver paint finish looks fantastic and is in
excellent condition. Underneath the car was treated, eliminating
any traces of rust. Inside the carpeting is brand new, and it is
rolling on 4 new wire wheels and white wall tires as well. For its
time, this was a very futuristic looking car that was a true sight
to see. Given its rarity, most people have not seen one of these
beautiful classics. Get your hands on this Hawk as you might not
see one again! To see 100+ HD pictures and a video of this rare
