Vehicle Description
1940 Plymouth Custom
If your in the market for a street rod but tired of seeing the same
Makes/Models at every show then you may have just stumbled across
your next purchase. This 1940 Plymouth Street Rod is custom
throughout and has a great look. You don't see many old Plymouths
out cruising around so the car always stands out from the crowd.
These cars had some great bodylines and a 3 piece grill set up that
is very unique. This one was well built and set up to not only win
you an award at every show but drive you there and back in comfort.
The car is all steel and coated in a Blue-Green paint with custom
ghost flames. All of the chrome and stainless is in excellent shape
with a very nice shine. The car has custom made bumpers in front
and rear with the split front bumper housing the turn signals. The
front headlights have been frenched and in back custom lights were
added to the rear fenders. It has a two piece front windshield and
all of the glass is tinted and damage free. The car has a great
stance with a slight forward rake and aftermarket Billet wheels
under all four corners.
As we mentioned before, the car was meant to drive just as good as
it looks so the drivetrain has been completely upgraded for a
smooth and comfortable ride. It now has a 400 V8 motor paired with
a Turbo 350 Automatic transmission and 3.08 gears. It runs very
strong and rolls down the highway with ease. The motor has been
topped off with a ton of chrome/billet add ons which along with the
stainless firewall and inner fenders looks amazing at car shows.
Other upgrades include the highflow aluminum water pump, highflow
electric fan, aluminum radiator, chrome master cylinder, Edelbrock
aluminum air gap manifold, Edelbrock carburetor, 100 amp chrome
alternator, and MSD distributor. The car has also been fitted with
a Nova front suspension with front disc brakes. The brakes are
power assisted as is the steering and windows.
The interior is complete in Beige leather with new Brown carpeting
and is in great shape. The seats are adjustable and a center arm
rest with cupholders was added up front. The dash has been fitted
with custom wood paneling and topped with aftermarket VDO gauges.
The Vintage Heat/AC system works well and will keep you comfortable
no matter what the weather is. In front of the driver you will find
a chrome tilt column with a 14" Banjo steering wheel. The power
trunk of the car is finished out just as well as the rest and
houses a spare wheel and additional storage space.
