In 1981 the Lincoln Town Car finally became its own product line
and no longer produced under the Continental banner. This full size
luxury sedan was marketed primarily for the US and Canada though it
did enjoy worldwide exportation. In the interest of fuel economy
the Town Car wheel base was a full 10” shorter that previous models
and weighed 1400 lbs less. This particular model was very well
maintained both mechanically and cosmetically and driven less than
2800 miles per year for a total of 100,087. Though it was involved
in a fender bender in 2005 it did not affect the overall integrity
of the motorcar.
It is finished in a cream non metallic with a deep tan leather
interior. It is fitted with 5.0L V8 EFI engine with a 4-speed AOD
automatic transmission.
If you are nostalgic for the grander times just picture yourself
driving around in this great classic.
