Make sure you watch my youtube videos of the car! Links are below. Please message me if you have any questions or if you want to come see the car in person.
For sale is a well taken care of 1977 Mercedes-Benz 300D. This car was purchased new in Annapolis, MD by my grandfather, it was passed on to my dad, and then to me. It has been very well taken care of, and has been garage kept all its life. The car is almost completely original, to my knowledge only the passenger side fender has been repaired or replaced due to a small “fender bender” with the corner of the garage door around 15 years ago. Other than the fender and the blending area, the paint is all original and in good shape with just a few minor blemishes that you would expect on a car of this age. There is a very small door ding on the passenger side and there is some slight oxidation on the roof and trunk. Lower trim on the driver side door is loose, a single clip is broken. The engine has 117,638 original miles on the odometer.
I’m selling the car simply because I never drive it and the car really deserves to be owned by someone that will drive it more and really appreciate it. I have owned it since about 2006 and I have never driven it in rain or snow, I only took it out on nice sunny days. The car has spent the last 2 years in my garage and only moved a few times. The engine runs good and the car has plenty of power (considering it’s age). The tires have plenty of tread on them but are getting older and starting to show some signs of cracking. All the electrics work.
I’m willing to ship it (at buyers cost) if needed but you will need to take care of arranging everything. It is drive-able for a more local buyer but there is air in the brake lines. If you have the knowledge and ability to bleed the brakes at my house before you drive it home that is fine.

Known Issues
-Air in brake lines (dash brake light is on because of this).
Brakes still work but this will need fixed.

automatically unless the car is running for a while.
-Power antenna is disconnected but still extends by hand
-Algae in fuel tank, was treated with fuel additive but will need
inspected again
-Air conditioning does not blow cold, probably just needs
re-charged
-Fuel gauge “jumps around” when it gets past half a tank of
fuel
-Needs an oil change and can benefit from a tune-up
