'67 Dodge Coronet R/T, Ray Barton 528 HEMI Powered Street Beast!
This car was born a factory 440 R/T with Black over White Buckets,
and a Console Automatic. Currently fitted with a fiberglass
Pro-Stock Hood, the original steel hood is included in the
sale.
Making over 800 horsepower at the crank, every part of the build
has been engineered to handle the power. The custom dual thermostat
Griffin radiator keeps things cool. The long tube TTI exhaust and
3-inch dual exhaust let the Stage V heads exhale as deeply as it
breathes. This thing has PIPES, that is for sure.
The car is designed to stop as well it goes, with Wilwood power
discs on all four wheels. The frame is fully reinforced and tied.
The fuel system, also modernized right down the to the stainless
steel fuel tank. The suspension has likewise been updated,
incorporating adjustable strut rods and front tubular control arms.
A staggered set of 17-inch American Racing Wheels shod in B.F.
Goodrich G-Force radials fill out the wheel wells. An 8 3/4"
sure-grip rear is loaded with 3.55:1 gears.
The builder picked a clean strong car to begin with and wisely
spent most of his build budget on the mechanicals. It has good
bones and an even patina, inside and out. Paint is a 10 footer, the
interior is in very condition, but not perfect- which makes it a
perfect car to actually drive and enjoy. Overall, this is a strong
driver, perfect for long-haul touring or local cruise-ins.
