Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1969 Dodge Dart GTS for
consideration. This car received a nut and bolt rotisserie
restoration from the ground up in 1999 with no expense spared. The
motor is a 383 with a 69 Cast block that came out of a 69 Road
Runner, the engine has Diamond Pistons, a Demon Carburetor, Manley
Valves bored 30 over, complete TTI exhaust and headers, electronic
dumps, a 67 GTX Hemi transmission done by Liberty Gear in Redford,
MI, and also a newer 10 Hemi clutch with newer flywheel. There is
an eight and three-quarter posi with 391 gears, all new brakes
front to back, new driveshaft, MSD ignition with an MSD
distributor, Mopar Air cleaner, and valve covers. According to the
owner, the vehicle has manual steering because power steering will
not fit on the vehicle, there is no room underneath the hood with
the current setup - March Pulleys, three-row aluminum radiator,
electric cooling fans, newer battery, newer master cylinder, newer
windshield washer jug that has never been filled. As for the
interior, this is the complete package, new seats all around, new
foam, new carpet, new headliner, new vinyl top, no cracks in the
steering wheel, tinted glass around, and to complete the interior
the vehicle also features shoulder harnesses and seatbelts. The
tachometer is an Autometer with shift light, oil pressure,
temperature and volt gauges, all Mopar liquid filled gauges so they
are extremely accurate.
The vehicle was completely stripped and had the undercarriage
sandblasted, according to the owner, the vehicle had no rust on it
when he purchased it 17 years back. All of the body panels are
original other than the hood, which was replaced with a brand new
one (there was nothing wrong with the old one, a new one was
available so it was put on the vehicle). All of the vehicles window
and rail moldings have been polished. All of the vehicles grilles,
headlamp bezels and tail panel are original, just re-chromed. All
new wiring harnesses throughout the whole engine. There are
approximately 1,492 miles on the vehicle since the restoration was
completed. The only time this vehicle has seen water is when the
paint was being wet sanded. We believe there is only one previous
owner of this vehicle that was out of Georgia, the current owner is
the first to have the vehicle titled. The vehicle was restored
throughout by the current owner, a gentleman that restores cars for
a living and has been involved in the auto industry for over 40
years. This vehicle runs excellent and truly needs nothing, please
