Vehicle Description
1966 Chevrolet Chevelle SS. Complete frame off restoration completed at the end of 2015. The car was built by the sons of a retiree. They completely restored it in their shop. No expense was spared for their dear dad including a $9,000 paint job. Unfortunately he was 6'4" and he just couldn't fit in it comfortably. He only drove it for a month or two before they took it to Mecum Auto auction which is where I bought it. It has a 427 engine, Holly 4 barrel 750, heavy duty aluminum radiator, aluminum overflow tanks, power steering, power brakes in the front, A/C, rear air suspension, Bilstein heavy shocks, Flow Masters, AM/FM stereo, center console & bucket seats, 20" rear wheels, 18" front wheels. I also have the original hood painted with the same paint. Mechanically the car is in excellent condition. Only 2,850 miles on it since the rebuild. By-the-way...the son's bought their dad a nice pickup truck & are in the process of restoring it for him.
