New to our Pleasanton showroom is this 1951 Mercury Monarch 4 Door
sedan with Midnight Blue exterior paint and a matching blue vinyl
interior. �It features the factory 255 cid V-8 engine under the
hood with the numbers-matching manual transmission, along with
factory suicide doors, aftermarket A/C, a Kenwood stereo system, a
Ron Francis wiring kit and more. �This highly original example
looks great in person and it is ready to enjoy.
Factory Drivetrain, Suicide Doors and More
The current owner of this 1951 Mercury Monarch Sedan informs us
that it was originally built and sold in Canada. The second owner
brought it to the United States in the early 1990's shortly after
it was fully restored from bumper to bumper. �It was more recently
converted over to a 12 volt system with 2 electric fans. �The
engine seals and the master cylinder were also replaced in 2004,
along with a spin on oil filter conversion. �Air conditioning was
added in 2010 as well and it works nicely. �Additionally, the 2nd
and 3rd owner have always garaged this classic and kept it
maintained at very high levels.
In terms of present condition, this 1951 Mercury Monarch shows
nicely with only minor cosmetic wear to the paint and the interior.
�The engine bay is typical driver quality but otherwise, this
