This 1982 GTV 6 Group A built by Autodelta is authenticated in its Automobile Club D'Italia Passaporto Tecnico dated 26 July 1985 that states it was the property of Autodelta Settimo, Milanese. This car is purportedly 1 of 10 constructed and the 2nd car prepared for Autodelta. It was acquired afterwards by Mirabella Racing of Brescia about 3 years later and raced in the Targa Florio. The car was brought in to Australia in 2015 in its original left-hand drive configuration and has subsequently undergone a comprehensive mechanical overhaul, cosmetic restoration and interior refurbishment at Maranello Pursang Motors in Brunswick overseen by a seasoned and dedicated owner. The engine bay and undercarriage have been refreshed and a reconditioned gearbox fitted suitable for road and track use. All the ancillary parts have been renewed or reconditioned and muffler replaced. Period livery has been re-applied with new decals. Receipts are available for perusal.

The car is accompanied by the homologation documents and under Technical Checks and Surveys the logbook details competition in rallies from what is believed to be 1983 to 1986 (as the handwriting and dates are inconclusive) including the Rally Valle Camonica; the Mille Miglia in 1986; Targa Florio in 1986; Montecampione in 1985 and the Rally Elba (year unknown). An Automobile Club D'Italia Folio Complimentare states a transfer of ownership in 1990 to Giannine Alfonso.

A dossier accompanies the sale of this genuine factory car including hand written accounts of rally activity which mentions driver's Massimo Botticini and co-driver Bossini together with a collection of photographs in period. Within the dossier is a hand written history (in Italian and translated) which says the car includes: original documents; original period technical passport; period documentation; that the motor did produce approx.220hp; had a straight through exhaust; a 35mm diameter torsion bar (now adjusted); Lockheed Brake callipers (brake set up now adjusted); Autodelta gearbox and differential (close ration gearbox and low ratio diff will accompany the car); and adjustable hillclimb Koni shock absorbers. The seats have been replaced but the originals will accompany the car, along with the Period Roll bar and other spares. The car was described as all original in the notes. It has now been sensitively restored and set up for road and track use.

In the spirit of the great Australian driver's Alan Jones and Colin Bond who competed very successfully with Alfa Romeo Australia's Group A GTV6s, this interesting race prepared rally car is a great asset to use and enjoy in club and historic motorsport today. The current owner has driven this car in the Group A category at the 2016 Phillip Island Festival of Motorsport. The car is shod with Michelin street legal track tyres TB5 18/60-15 and comes with a spare set of racing wheels and race tyres. This genuine factory car with its pure Italian provenance would make a desirable edition to any collection of Italian classics.
