Vehicle Description
This 1993 GMC Typhoon is #1,006 of 4,697 Typhoons built by GMC and
has been driven less than 8,800 actual miles since new. The Typhoon
was a Special Edition truck built only in 1992 and 1993. Using the
Syclone's factory 4.3-liter Vortec V6 engine boosted by a Garrett
liquid intercooled turbocharger, the power is put to the ground via
a 4-speed automatic transmission and a Borg Warner all-wheel-drive
traction system with limited-slip differential and anti-lock
brakes. The roomy interior features black leather sport buckets up
front and leather folding bench in back. Typhoons came fully loaded
with air, full power options, turbo gauge cluster, self-leveling
rear suspension, and remote door locks and hatch release.
Accident-free, Typhoon #1006 has been carefully maintained by three
previous owners. It has also been featured in a GM High Tech
Performance magazine and calendar before becoming part of an
Arizona-based collection of rare General Motors vehicles. This
Typhoon is mostly stock including a Borla exhaust and minor
reliability upgrades. This Limited Edition truck is like-new and in
exceptional mechanical and physical condition. Documentation
conveying with the truck include the PAS build sheets, GMC Window
Sticker, owner's manuals, factory brochure, period advertising,
maintenance records, and the car show display board. Also included
is the magazine and calendar in which the truck was featured.
