Vehicle Description
This documented M38A1 Jeep has been stored in a private collection
since 1990. An iconic American machine, it has been meticulously
maintained and recently restored. Serial number 70386 served
honorably in the military from 1954 until being released into a
rural sheriff's department in 1984. The Jeep spent the next six
years serving as a search and rescue vehicle before being purchased
by the current owner in 1990. Recently restored, it features
all-new 24-volt military spec wiring with waterproof connectors and
new old-stock electrical components, a new radiator, new water
pump, new gas tank, new tires, new glass and re-covered seats. The
rebuilt 4-cylinder engine is mated to a 3-speed manual
transmission. It is dressed in USMC 3rd Recon markings as a tribute
to the owner and those that served both in the past and today. This
vehicle truly exhibits the meaning of Semper Fi.
