Vehicle Description
This Deluxe Woody Station Wagon has always been a West Coast car
that was carefully looked after and never completely restored.
Amazingly, it retains most of its original wood from Fords Iron
Mountain, still in beautiful shape today. The floors are original
and rock-solid, with no repairs ever performed. All of the sheet
metal is original, rust-free and very straight. The wagon was
professionally repainted once in the original color of Mandarin
Maroon. The Flathead V8 and transmission were professionally
rebuilt and perform outstandingly. The rebuilt 2-speed Columbia
rear end makes high speed cruising possible. All of the hydraulic
brakes were gone through, and the complete wiring harness was
replaced with correct cloth-wrapped wiring and looms. This Woody
has correct-grain leather seats, original garnish moldings, correct
mats, and even retains most of its original date-coded glass. The
front and rear leaf springs were upgraded with units from Pete and
Jakes for a better ride and slightly lowered stance. Tube shocks
were also fitted to further improve the ride. It rides on correct
16" smoothie rims wrapped in Firestone whitewalls. The previous
owner lovingly cared for this car the last 20 years. A very fine
example.
