Corvette Convertible with the very desirable "torch Red" exterior,
and black leather interior This 2001 Corvette, also referred to as
a "C5", were available during model years 1997 thru 2004. The C5
was a huge step up from the C4 in both performance and structural
rigidity. Performance increases came courtesy of a new 5.7-liter
V8, commonly known as the LS-1, which for 2001 was rated at 350 hp
by the manufacturer. All this power is taken in by the "tried and
true" GM 4L60-E 4 speed automatic transmission providing seamless
acceleration. Powerful 4-wheel ABS enabled disc brakes can bring
the car to a complete stop in a very short distance. This 2001
corvette features a gorgeous Torch Red exterior, still displaying a
very reflective finish without any noticeable rock chips or door
dings. At all four corners are 5 spoke chrome wheels wrapped with
newer TOYO tires. The front tires are 245-45-ZR17 and the rears are
275-40-ZR 18, still showing a lot of tread left. The black leather
interior presents itself as a convertible with half the mileage as
this example, suggesting this car saw very little harmful sun rays
and rarely if ever out during inclement weather conditions. Inside
also features a BOSE sound system with CD player. The convertible
top of this corvette shows very little wear and features a rear
