The Model -When the original Austin-Healey sports cars were design,
they were not for the faint-of-heart, but were for those who were
ready to hit the road and expect white-knuckle rides. From the
early fours and sixes, Healey began to develop a more civilized
sport cabriolet and the introduction of the BJ7/Mark II 2+2 edition
he had arrived at the end-goal. Roll-up windows, reliable heaters,
and performance that won the respect of seasoned motorists. These
cars had it all, a warm heater, overdrive transmission, disc brakes
up front, and a spirit of competition. It was quick, 0-to-60 in
under 10-seconds and a top speed just above the 115-mph mark.
Steering was quick and responsive, taking corners level and
straight, coming to a stop simple and efficient. The Big-Healeys,
as they are called by their avid fans, are the perfect machines for
driving down the road or on the track at full speed.

The Car - With a keen eye to detail and authenticity, this classic
example of an Austin-Healey 3000 is finished in its original
Colorado Red finish and fitted with a complete black leather
seating surfaces. Door panels and dash trim are also finished in
black with black carpet for covering the floor. Stashed neatly in
the boot is the black folding top reproduced in the exact same
grain as the original with the plastic windows showing clean, clear
and without major scratches. Under the hood, and that legendary
in-line six gleams and those SU carburetors feed plenty of fuel to
the engine keeping alive and wells. Those gleaming knock-off chrome
wire wheels sparkle in the sunlight and the chassis has been
detailed and is ready to roll. While the early history of this car
has been lost, it is believed to have been delivered new in the USA
and while very authentic in detail, this car is not a trailer
queen. During a recent test run this Austin-Healey was reported to
run out quite well and everything appears to have been sorted out
including the electrical systems. What a wonderful chariot this
would be for a romantic get-away or a spirited autumn afternoon
drive.
