Vehicle Description
Longer, lower, and wider wasn't just a design brief for cars, GM's
new for 1960 pickup trucks used a new frame design to be much
sophisticated in terms of handling and maneuverability. Drop-
center ladder frames and front independent suspension gave an
almost car like ride. new scheme assigned a 10, 20, or 30 for 1/2,
3/4, and 1-ton models. Since 1957, trucks were available from the
factory as four-wheel drive, and the new class scheme would make
this known. A C (conventional) in front of the series number
indicates two-wheel rear drive while a K denotes four-wheel
drive.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this very excellent 1966 C20
for your consideration. Finished in an eye catching shade of
turquoise, this is a very nice truck. According to the owner, a
complete restoration was completed in 1997. A very rare one owner
vehicle, it has been kept in excellent shape. White paint on the
cab roof and bumpers and trim pieces contrast very nicely with the
turquoise body and wheels. A wooden bed also looks spectacular. The
interior is similarly mint and the brown and white seats are stain
and rip free. It appears that everything is in working shape.
A lot of work was put into the mechanical and cosmetic restoration
including the rebuilt 283cid V8 engine that is mated to a 3-speed
manual. The truck has four keys and a spare color matched steel
wheel. A gorgeous truck, this is a workhorse and a trailer queen at
the same time. Pickup trucks are timeless and classless and will
look good anywhere and anytime.
