For Sale: 1968 Ford Bronco in Raleigh, North Carolina

Vehicle Description

One of a kind 1968 Ford Bronco that runs and drives better than it looks. This Bronco will get bored in the garage as it was built to drive and enjoy.  It is a unique Bronco that has a list of highly desired upgrades and is a super solid truck that spent 45 years of it’s life in southern California and Arizona. The drivetrain is awesome for just about anything that you want to do:

  • 1989 5.0 EFI engine with around 65,000 mile on it.  Driven and serviced regularly with no leaks.

  • AOD 4 speed + overdrive  transmission with shift kit and B&M floor shifter

  • Aluminum radiator designed specifically for the Early Bronco keeps the engine cool. Steel protector for radiator to prevent the fan blade from puncturing it should a motor mount ever fail

  • Cruises nicely at 75 mph down the Interstate at around 2200 RPMs

  • Double Down Kit: Advanced Adapter kit mates not one but two Dana 20 transfer cases (really one and a half) using another Advanced Adapter called "Cold Duck" which is supported by a custom removable cross member. In compound low range you can jump out of the truck and walk faster than it! The second stick simply pushes forward anytime you wish to double whatever gear ratio you're in at the moment.   This truck is ready to go anywhere!

  • Axles: The front & rear differentials both have 5.38 Superior gears and Detroit lockers. Rear axle is a big bearing Ford 9 inch that has been upgraded to 31 spline Chromoly axle shafts

  • Superior Chromoly axle shafts with CTM greasable u-joints plus new seals & gear oil.  Custom high angle drive shaft.

  • 4-wheel Disk Brakes with power brake booster.

  • New F150 power steering gear box with frame reinforcement.

  • 2" Wild Horses body lift kit plus 5.5" WH suspension lift with progressive rate coils with drop track bar and drop radius arms.

  • Rancho 9000 adjustable long travel shocks mounted to Wild Horses shock hoops.

  • 23 gallon NorthWest steel fuel tank with internal pump high volume EFI pump.

  • Tires: New BFG ATII’s (KO2) 35X12.5X15 with new wheels.   New (non-matching) spare tire & wheel as well.

  • Body is 99.9% rust free.  Recently painted “sandstorm” tan color with matching Linex bedliner sprayed throughout the inside of the tub.

  • Seats are custom as well and match the “sandstorm” theme.  Only two front seats with over the shoulder seatbelts.  No backseat.

  • LED lights including the Tom’s Bronco LED headlights.

  • Bikini top, as well as, Best soft top with removeable windows so you can have a full soft top or the “safari top” look.

  • New powdercoated bumpers from Tom’s Bronco.  Front is a high impact series bumper with hidden winch and a pre-runner.  Rear is a impact series bumper with tire carrier.

  • Interior bed has been Rhino Lined to with the matching color (sandstorm) of the exterior.  Excellent protection, plus it looks cool!

This should be enough to give you an idea of what kind of Bronco this is and what it’s capabilities are.  Email me with questions.
