This USA specification 365 GTB/4 Daytona was sold new through East
Coast Ferrari distributor Luigi Chinetti Motors, Greenwich,
Connecticut and sold its first owner, well-known collector and
racer Mr. Bob Fergus of Westerville, Ohio. According to Ferrari
Market Letter records, this Daytona was offered for sale from its
first owner in the late 1990's/2000 and with only 21,000 miles from
new, thus remaining in its ownership for nearly 30 years time.
Purchased by Atlanta, Georgia resident Mr. M. Vanderkley, it was
cosmetically restored by well-known Ferrari restorer/painter Bo
Pirkle and during his ownership and shown at the 2008 Cavallino
Classic XVII Concours d'Elegance at the Breakers in Palm Beach,
Florida.
In 2011, this Daytona was acquired by its present owner, a
well-known Ferrari collector who keeps his vast collection on
several continents, but who has kept this Daytona at his Long
Island, New York residence since its purchase. It's mileage when
purchased at this time was 26,000 miles from new.
Due to its regular and constant servicing, this Daytona has always
been in superb working order. Within the last few months $30,000
has been spent to ensure its current ready to use condition and
without issue. Servicing has included: Major mechanical service,
Carb and ignition service, Fuel system service, Brake service, Air
conditioning service, Rear exhaust system replacement, Refurbished
Borrani wire wheels and New Michelin XWX tires (including
spare).
This 365 GTB/4 Daytona is Ferrari Classiche Certified has its
original owner's manual and factory wheel wrench is original
colors, matching numbers, only three owners from new and superb in
