Vehicle Description
The 1963 Chevy Impala Super Sport (Z03) is one of the "Godfathers"
of the muscle car. A full size Chevy based on GM's B-platform it
came with "mandatory" suspension upgrades, stronger station wagon
wheels, and sintered brake linings. But, the real upgrade was under
the hood. In the case of the one up for auction, is the legendary
"409".
This example is a convertible painted white with a stunning red
interior. It has four on the floor, bucket seats and a factory
original steering column mounted TAC. Under the hood is, of course,
a 409 cid motor making 340 honest horses. The power gets to the
road through a Posi rear with 3:36 gears. If that is not good
enough, a 4:11 is available.
The radio works, the clock works, even the "cold" green water temp
light comes on when you twist the key! This an extremely clean
example of one of the greatest performance cars built by GM.
ESTIMATE: $55,000 - $65,000
