Vehicle Description
This early-model FJ40 is rare and equipped with parts that were
incredibly difficult to source. The original owner purchased this
FJ40 at a Toyota dealership, where it was one of the few hardtops
with corrugated side panels. A small window and bifold doors
complete this unique package. The back end features small swing-out
doors with a unique, rear hatch that can be pushed up and folded
horizontally the only foldable version available on these models.
The original windshield ventilation cover was restored and is in
great working condition. The seats are newly trimmed in the
original coral vinyl. Every switch, gauge and knob has been
painstakingly restored or replaced with a new, original version of
itself. This model was restored to its original specifications, and
looks just as it did when it rolled off the line. Primed and
painted in original factory Sierra Beige, highlights include
all-new weatherstripping, all-new seals, hoses, coil and belt. It
has new wiper arms, motors and blades as well as new brake and
clutch master cylinder. It rides on original rims with new hubcaps
and period-correct military-style tires. All the gauges and lights
are working. It has original glass all around. The interior
features new original-style upholstery and a new headliner. It's
powered by a straight-6 engine with 3-on-the-tree manual
transmission. The 4-wheel drive works well as does the original
winch. This was originally an Arizona vehicle.
