Vehicle Description
This was the first year of production for the Viper GTS. One of
1,166 produced, this example is equipped with the 8.0-liter, 450hp
V10 engine with 6-speed manual transmission. It's finished in Viper
Blue with white stripes. This was the year the Viper was selected
as the official pace car of the 80th Indianapolis 500 on May 26,
1996. With an underrated 450hp and almost 500 ft/lbs of torque,
this car features bold-face white gauges and a 200-mph speedometer.
This fine, well-cared-for example has less than 9,600 actual miles
(the title reads mileage exempt). A fully matching-numbers car, it
has documentation back to the date of purchase. All body panels
feature original paint, and the original interior is in fantastic
shape. It's also equipped with specially fitted Michelin
high-performance tires, air bags, air conditioning, leather seats
and a 7000-rpm tachometer. Other features include a stainless-steel
dual exhaust system, 5-spoke aluminum wheels, limited-slip
differential, 4-wheel disc brakes, 4-wheel independent aluminum
suspension and anti-roll bars. This Viper includes a great AM/FM/CD
sound system with six speakers. It also has dual manual outside
breakaway mirrors and remote-control security. This car truly runs
and looks fabulous.
