Vehicle Description
The Ford Fairlane 500 was the top of the line Ford model in 1958.
Carrying over the popular styling of the 1957 model year where Ford
outsold rival Chevrolet, the line now sported quad headlights and a
grill that matched that year's Thunderbird.
Fairlane has been used on a number of different Ford models over
the years and the name comes from Henry Ford's estate in Dearborn,
Michigan.
This two-door coupe is painted in a beautiful tricolor with the
main color being Sea-spray Green. The car was repainted about 25
years ago but is still in good condition. The interior has been
updated with a new back seat. In fact this is a show quality
car.
The 292 cu. in V8 was introduced in this model year to improve
performance and developed 205 HP. This car also features the three
speed manual transmission. It drives well.
Recently work has been done on the brakes, wiring, battery and new
pistons.
A great car to enter the car collector hobby.
Estimate: $17,000 - $22,000
