Vehicle Description
You don't have to be a UT fan to appreciate a great value... but it
doesn't hurt. This 1987 Ford Econoline is a low mileage example of
the perfect van for everything from long distance cruising of
luxury tailgating.
We can be pretty sure the person who ordered this van was a
University of Tennessee fan. So we find it a bit ironic that
Komfort Koach out of Louisville, KY was responsible for turning
this everyday Econoline into a tall and comfortable custom
creation. But you don't have to support the Vols to appreciate the
exceptional artistry. After all, the way the custom striping orange
has been expertly applied against the pristine white gives it a
cool and sporty appearance. And because it's painted on, the whole
van has a nice luster in the sunshine. Adding to this sporty and
premium nature are the bright Ion 15-inch alloys.
The great thing about an expensive custom van is that it can appear
vintage and still be loaded with all the best features you could
want today. A great example is the ultra cushy driver's captain's
chair. It's power adjustable for that perfect long-haul driving
position. You've got all the right amenities at your fingertips,
including cruise control on the steering wheel, cup holders, power
windows, power locks, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, and full control of
the modern R134a air conditioning. And there are even more luxuries
are all behind this. The rear portion has been fitted with a second
set of captain's chairs and a sofa-quality bench seat. And it's
extra comfortable thanks to the raised roof, custom lighting, and
rear A/C vents. The overhead area has cabinets and is currently
wired for an older TV and VCR unit. But if you feel like watching
more than the 1998 Fiesta Bowl game, this van's low price leaves
plenty of room in the budget for a more modern A/V upgrade.
The original 5.0-liter V8 is under the hood, and it's a great
choice to in this van. Plus, we believe this was mainly used just
for Tennessee games, and so it's believed that the low mileage
(averaging less than 1,000 miles annually) is accurate. But we also
know this one has been treated to all the right maintenance by the
way the V8 fires up easily and runs smoothly. It's mated to a stout
automatic transmission that's a great choice for anytime driving.
And with power steering, front disc brakes, and Michelin tires,
this is a true comfortable cruiser.
Complete with owner's manual, this Econoline is all about cruising
in comfort and style without breaking the bank. So no matter if
you're looking to go long distances or just be the ultimate
tailgater, you're going to want to grab this deal. Call
