Vehicle Description
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to present this 1941 Ford Super Deluxe
2-door for purchase. Ford's successor to the Model 48 used trim
packages of "Deluxe" and "Super Deluxe" to for all intents and
purposes bridge the gap between a "standard" Ford and the luxury
Lincoln offering. While Henry Ford was very resistant to change on
the mechanical side of things, Edsel Ford and his design crew had
free reign. The '41 models were the first of the "fat Fords", and
the model with options that included different trims, a 6 cylinder
option, and several different colors boosted sales and got Ford
through the war years.
The 1941 Super Deluxe offered here is powered by a 350v8 paired
with a turbo 350 automatic transmission. The car features a 1981
Pontiac LeMans front end. This example is all steel. According to
the owner, the car has an upgraded rv cam and a high stall
converter. The car features VDO gauges and clock and also has an
Autometer Phantom speedometer, dual exhaust, Hooker headers, dual
exhaust, Kenwood CD player, Edelbrock 4 barrel carburetor,
Edelbrock aluminum intake, Accel distributor, power steering. The
car handles well and is a blast to take out for a cruise.
