This extremely clean 1955 Chevrolet Nomad is for sale in our
Louisville KY showroom. The Nomad was Chevy's Station wagon model
on and off from 1955 to 1972 but the most memorable ones are these
55 to 57 models. There styling has withstood the test of time with
these wagons still being highly sought after today. This 55 is an
original CA car and lived most of its life on the west coast. The
bright orange metallic paint shows off the extremely straight body
lines while giving the car an almost factory look. All the
trim/brightwork looks like it is freshly polished. The chrome
bumpers front and rear are in excellent shape as well with no signs
of pitting or scratching. Under the hood is your basic Chevy small
block with a cubic displacement of 350 CI. Dressed out in some
great chrome accessories it looks right at home under the hood.
Mated up to a TH350 transmission driving this beauty is as simple
as dropping it down in drive and give it some gas. Adding to the
drivability factor is a CPP steering box which gives the car a much
tighter steering feel. A set of disc brakes upfront really helps
slowing this 55 wagon down and look good while doing it. The chrome
wheels are classic Cragar design just a little bigger in diameter
with the 17's filling up the wheel wells nicely. The interior has
been done in classic tan vinyl with a custom middle console
allowing for some extra gauges without cutting any of the dash. All
the glass in the car has been tinted and is a nice touch giving the
car a more modern look. If you have been wanting a classic TRI-Five
wagon this beauty is the perfect mix of old and new with the finish
product being a slick NOMAD. Options on this 1955 Chevrolet Nomad
include, AM/FM Radio, Power Steering, Power Brakes, Vinyl Interior,
Seat Belts, and Aluminum Wheels wrapped with Radial Tires.
