Vehicle Description
When introduced in 1962, the MGB featured an all new unibody body
shell sharing many styling cues with its Midget sibling. MGB
Roadsters continue to be popular among motoring enthusiasts. Their
simplicity, reliability and overall sportiness make them very
enjoyable cars to own and drive. Early chrome bumper examples with
door pull handles such as this car are among the most sought
after.
The 1965 MGB offered here for sale has been a race car ever since
the car has had 3,000 miles on it, making it a real vintage race
car. Cosmetically the car shows very well and was just re-painted.
The car is powered by a fresh 1800cc 4 cylinder engine that was
just professionally re-built by C-Tech Performance paired with a
manual 4 speed transmission. The Engine is broke in and ready for
its new owner. It features a Dave Hadley Head and exhaust system,
Comp Tune Cam, Gorilla Rods, Ross Racing flat top pistons and 1
SU carburetors. The rear ended was welded and currently has a 4.1
in it. The MGB also comes with a 3.9, 4.3, and a 4.5 rear end. The
car rides on Hoosier racing tires. It also has a "Accusump" oil
pressure canister and a roll bar.
The car was used by its current owner as a race car from 1999
through 2014. The car comes with several log books and manuals and
receipts. The car won the Collier Cup in Walking Glenn in 1996 and
in 2007 it was the fastest MG and the MG focus event. The car has
made its rounds to tracks all over the U.S. The car is sold with a
Bill of Sale.
