Please read carefully! Our seller purchased this Turbo Body
Cabriolet in march of 2000 with the engine in need of repair. As an
engineer at Ford and an enthusiast with an interest in Porsche, he
purchased the car in non-running condition and sourced the parts
and labor to have the engine rebuilt. The receipts and information
our seller has will go with the car at the time of sale. He states
that the car has traveled less than 1,000 since the work was done
approximately ten years ago. He s retired and his health issues
limited his use of the car and It has been four years since it was
licensed for the road. It starts, runs and drives, however, it does
run rough and that could be from lack of use, bad gas (had a new
gas tank installed when engine work was done), injectors clogged,
bad plugs... it needs to be sorted and repaired as needed. The car
started life in California to the best of our seller s knowledge
and the CarFax information. It was stolen and recovered in November
of 1992 while still in California (the original engine could have
been removed at that time) and it was subsequently issued a rebuilt
title. According to what we can see of the history, it came to
Michigan in 1995, spent a short time in Texas and in 2000 was sold
to the current owner. It currently has a Michigan title (free of
liens) and it states on the front of the title that is was
previously issued a Salvage Title. Overall cosmetics are driver
quality with noted defects to include a large piece of the paint
chipped off on top of the passenger side fender and a cut in the
top panel of the convertible top. The A/C belt is missing, not all
diretions of the power seats operate properly from the control
switches, and please note that other electronics have not been
tested.
