pulled out all the stops for the flamboyant lines of the 1959 model
year! Going a different direction with the ultimate fin campaign by
all manufacturers, the rear view of the 1959 Impala dominates all!
With the tail fins protruding outward versus upward and those
gorgeous teardrop taillights. Always impressive, and distinctive
from just about any distance, these top-of-the-line Chevrolet
offerings continue to be highly sought after today! Offered here is
a beautiful 1959 Chevrolet Impala Sport Coupe in factory coded
923A-Roman Red over very sharp code correct 873-Red Cloth & Vinyl
interior. Features on this car include brand new 350ci V8 crate
engine fitted with Holley's Throttle Body Injection (TBI) for
superior electronic fuel-injected performance, 700R4 4-speed
automatic transmission, factory air conditioning upgraded to
Vintage Air components, power steering, power four-wheel disc
brakes, tilt steering column with billet levers, rear reverse
lights, 16" polished American Racing wheels measuring 8" up front &
9" wide at the rear, fender skirts, Custom Auto Sound
AM/FM/iPod/Satellite radio hidden inside the ashtray with auxiliary
remote along with 6-Disc changer & Bazooka bass tube tucked into
the trunk, dual radio antennas; all E-Z-Eye tinted glass, Day/Night
rearview mirror, dual outside mirrors, and more! This outstanding
example comes to us from the former owner of 9 years who enjoyed
this Impala for many years using the original 348ci V8, PowerGlide,
and factory air conditioning. As with many owners, there comes a
time to enhance the driving pleasure, and in 2011, he handed his
Los Angeles, CA built Impala over to Tommy Kuntz who took the
liberty of restoring it completely from the frame up. Utilizing the
absolutely solid, rust free chassis and body, it was stripped of
its original drivetrain, all exterior moldings & trim, weather
stripping and prepped professionally for a complete base coat/clear
coat respray. The results are nothing short of incredible! The
entire suspension was rebuilt with all new bushings, ball joints,
tie rods, end links, addition of front & rear sway bars, new
shocks, and rear springs. The engine fuel system was replaced with
new stainless steel gas tank, fuel sender, filter, fuel pump, and
all lines. The brakes were completed replaced with CPP (Classic
Performance Products) 4-wheel disc brakes using cross-drilled &
slotted rotors, braided stainless steel brake lines, and all new
e-brake cables. Under the hood, it was decided to transplant a new
crate 350ci V8 with the Holley Avenger EFI�engine management
system�and Edelbrock aluminum intake. Additional goodies include
ceramic coated headers, true dual exhaust utilizing only resonated
mufflers, new aluminum radiator with tranny cooler, HD 7-blade fan
clutch & shroud CRV Performance high-torque starter, modern
alternator charging system, updated R134a a/c system, polished
aluminum finned valve covers, Cadillac style air cleaner with some
Von Dutch pin-stripping, along with all new hoses, clamps, fluids,
etc. Inside, you will find a completely fresh interior with all new
carpet, new seat upholstery & padding, all new weather stripping,
carpeted floor mats, all new wiring through the entire vehicle,
with everything fully sorted and functional! With completion in
approximately 2012, he drove and enjoyed this stellar new ride for
the next 5 years, adding approximately 2,000 miles to the odometer.
