For Sale at Auction: 1967 Jaguar S-Type (3.8 litre) in Weybridge,

Produced from 1963 to 1968, the Jaguar S-Type was technically a more sophisticated development of the Jaguar Mk. II, offering buyers a more luxurious alternative. It was available with either 3.4 or 3.8 litre XK engines and featured longer rear bodywork among other styling and interior changes. Despite its extra weight, the S-Type's independent rear suspension allowed it to corner faster than the Mk. II, especially on uneven surfaces, providing better traction and a much smoother ride for rear seat passengers with the consensus that the S-Type offered significant improvements over the Mk. II in road holding, safety and ride comfort. It was described as "a convenient family car, a businessman's express, a sports coup� and a grand tourer." This Jaguar S-Type was imported from South Africa in 2016 and has since been registered on UK number plates; it comes with an MoT test certificate expiring on 6th April 2018. The blue coachwork is in good order with the car showing no obvious signs of corrosion and the cream leather trim has a particularly pleasant patina to it. We are advised she runs and drives well; these 60's Jaguars' were certainly robust vehicles, hence this was the vehicle bank robbers would choose for a prompt getaway with their ill-gotten gains. Police forces throughout the country also used Jaguar S-Types due to the swift performance, good road-holding and reliability. This is a perfectly useable example although she would benefit from a little time and investment over the winter months.
