Vehicle Description
The Mini requires little introduction, however, it may be of
interest to note that the Mk. III Mini, produced from 1969 to 2000,
had a modified bodyshell with several alterations from the early
models. The most obvious changes were larger doors with concealed
hinges. Customer demand led to the sliding windows being replaced
with winding windows and the suspension reverted from Hydrolastic
to rubber cones as a cost saving measure. With so many Minis built,
it would become popular to modify them to individual tastes. On
offer today is a convertible Mini 1000 City E modified from a
standard Saloon first registered in December 1987. The car sits on
Minilite wheels with wood veneer dashboard and steering wheel. The
interior has been re-trimmed with new door cards and carpets. The
Mini looks attractive with its sky blue coachwork, cream hood and
cream hood cover which keeps things tidy whilst the hood is stowed.
We are advised that this UK registered convertible Mini will arrive
with a fresh MoT test certificate. What a fun package this is, that
will be enjoyed by a lucky new owner for many summers to come. For
sale by auction on Saturday 23 September 2017 with Historics at
