Vehicle Description
Ducati had a challenge which consisted in constructing a bike with
innovative technical characteristics and image to fight the intense
Japanese competition and to undertake the ambitious objective they
hired Massimo Tamburini, co-founder of Bimota, to design the Ducat
916 and MV Agusta F4 Series. Tamburini decided to streamline the
bike and its 750cc motor in a close-fitting integral fairing that
hid all mechanical parts. The Paso 750 was equipped with the square
frame technology, rear aluminium swingarm with progressive
suspension, 16" wheels with radial tyres, air-and-oil cooled
engine, electronic ignition and a comprehensive dashboard. In 1989
the Paso 906 was introduced to replace the 750, with a six-speed
gearbox, a 904cc engine which provided 88 hp and a 220 km/h top
speed. After further development, the final version of the design
came in 1991 with the 907 i.e. now without the name Paso'. The
wheels were changed to 17" giving the bike more stability. These
bikes are becoming collectable and very difficult to find in well
maintained condition. This example has a full service history with
every invoice and receipt for any work that has been carried out
from new. It has covered just 36,500 miles which is supported by
all old MoT test certificates. All manuals and keys are present
along with a new MoT test certificate valid until August, 2018 and
a full service by MD Racing including belts, oils and all fluids.
