Vehicle Description
This is an EXTREMELY RARE 1949 Buick Super Woody Wagon - Series 50.
The Buick Series 50 Super Estate Wagon is very rare as the 1949
model was one of a kind, it was only available that year. About 653
of these Series 50 Super Wagons were built and 21 of them were for
export. Recent reports say that there is only 15 - 20 of these
wagons are left. A much lesser number of them are in the condition
this one is. The Series 50 Wagon is Rear Wheel drive with of course
Automatic transmission (Dynaflow). It has a big Block straight 8
Cylinder engine with about 150 HP. The Wagon will come with Buick
Shop manuals so you can maintain and service the car properly. This
Wagon is in extremely good condition, including the original wood
which has been restored before. The car has undergone restoration
before as well and can be seen in it's condition. Other than that,
is all original and in amazing condition (See Pictures). This wagon
has been in the same family for over fifteen years and was in
storage for a few years, it has recently been brought out of
storage and was restored once again and serviced to get it back on
the road. The engine was serviced; the radiator replaced along with
the belt and radiator hoses. Also replaced was the battery -brand
new Interstate Battery. She runs and drives excellently. The
Dynaflow transmission shifts as it should and all gears work
perfectly. The Dynaflow transmissions were known to leak, and this
is does trickle about a teaspoon of oil once a week if not driven.
The car is in impeccable condition and would be rare to find one at
all, let alone in this condition. It recently had a brake job done
which involved flushing the entire brake system and replacing some
parts like brake pistons, etc. The interior is remarkable and the
amazing craftsmanship is in tiptop condition. Recently installed
new carpeting front and rear The leather is in excellent condition
as is the wood and other interior trim. It has the standard bench
seats front and rear. It is currently registered and of course does
not require SMOG certificate. All the electrical features work and
the wagon still has the original 6V Electrical system - it's pretty
much all original. The radio works and even the rare Driver's Door
Spot / Search light works-however the bulb in there is burnt
out. There are some things that should probably be replaced on the
car. The front control arm ball joints could be replaced as the
rubber boots are failing. They are full of new grease though, so
the ball joints themselves work fine. All the chrome was recently
polished and is in great condition - this included all the turn
signals, trim, lights, etc. The car exterior is in excellent
condition. It does have a chip here and there in the paint This is
your chance to acquire a true American classic and a piece of
automotive history. Shown by appointment only WE FINANCE/ DELIVER
