Vehicle Description
Someone finally did everything you wanted to do to a 1999 Plymouth
Prowler to make it as cool as you knew it always could be. Now this
well-dressed modern hot rod can be yours for a price far below all
of its upgrades would suggest.
You can tell this one has always been someone's baby. Averaging
around 850 miles annually so far, you can imagine this one only
came out of the garage for special occasions. That's why it's
factory shade of Prowler Yellow still retains its showroom level of
shine. But more than just stock, this one has been upgraded in a
few very key ways. Those odd-looking federally mandated bumpers
have disappeared in the front and rear, and their mounting spaces
have been properly capped. Up front you'll also see the custom
billet grille, clear headlights, and terrific chrome additions to
the suspension. Plus, the bright Ridler alloys have been staggered
17/20-inches front/rear to retain the Prowler's the intimidating
stance.
Inside is where this retro ride gets very modern. It's outfitted
with exceptionally comfortable dark charcoal gray leather buckets
with the special Prowler logo embossed in the backs. The low
mileage really shows here where little seat time equals only
comfort creases. Since this is a modern classic, there are plenty
of great features, and everything works as it should thanks to the
engineering strength of a major corporation behind it. The
color-matched instrument panel stands out boldly with great
white-faced gauges in place. Air conditioning, a powerful
AM/FM/cassette factory stereo, power windows, power locks, and that
slick-shifting Auto-Stick transmission all make the Prowler a more
functional choice for those who like a vintage look but modern
convenience. In fact, a retro car also means welcomed safety
features like the dual airbags and ABS that come within this great
vintage appearance.
The lightweight nature of the Prowler and an engine upgrade in 1999
means the 3.5-liter 24-valve V6's 253 horsepower moves this
roadster quite nicely. It starts instantly and idles smoothly
thanks to fully-engineered EFI. The four-speed automatic
transmission w/overdrive and power steering make this a fine
anytime cruiser. When you want a little more fun, the AutoStick has
a manual mode that will really open up the backroads. This let's
you take full advantage of the fully independent suspension,
four-wheel disc brakes, grippy Falken tires, and the Prowler's near
50/50 weight distribution.
This is everything you wanted in Prowler when new, and today this
modern classic is still that fresh. It's time to look vintage cool
without giving up modern convenience or too much cash. Call
